WASHINGTON, Feb. 25 -- Environmental Protection Agency has issued a rule called: Bacillus Thuringiensis Cry1B.34 Protein; Exemption From the Requirement of a Tolerance.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on Feb. 25 by Edward Messina, Director, Office of Pesticide Programs.

Summary: This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the Bacillus thuringienisisCry1B.34 protein (hereafter Cry1B.34 protein) in or on the food and feed commodities of corn, field; corn, sweet; and corn, pop when used as a Plant-Incorporated Protectant (PIP).
