WASHINGTON, Jan. 6 -- Environmental Protection Agency has issued a rule called: Air Plan Approval; Michigan; Infrastructure SIP Requirements for the 2015 Ozone NAAQS; Michigan State Board Requirements; Withdrawal of Direct Final Rule.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on Jan. 6 by Anne Vogel, Regional Administrator, Region 5.
Summary: Due to the receipt of an adverse comment, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is withdrawing the November 20, 2025, direct final rule approving an element of a State Implementation Plan (SIP) submission from Michigan regarding the infrastructure requirements of section 110 of the Clean Air Act (CAA) for the 2015 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).
