ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: RECONSIDERATION OF 2009 ENDANGERMENT FINDING AND GREENHOUSE GAS VEHICLE STANDARDS; EXTENSION OF COMMENT PERIOD

WASHINGTON, Aug. 15 -- Environmental Protection Agency has issued a proposed rule called: Reconsideration of 2009 Endangerment Finding and Greenhouse Gas Vehicle Standards; Extension of Comment Period.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 15 by William Charmley, Director, Assessment and Standards Division, Office of Transportation and Air Quality.

Summary: On August 1, 2025, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a proposed rule titled "Reconsideration of 2009 Endangerment Finding and Greenhouse Gas Vehicle Standards." EPA is extending the comment period for this proposed rule.
