WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 -- Environmental Protection Agency has issued a proposed rule called: Air Plan Approval; Ohio; Muskingum River 2010 Sulfur Dioxide Redesignation and Maintenance Plan.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Oct. 2 by Cheryl Newton, Acting Regional Administrator, Region 5.
Summary: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to redesignate the Muskingum River sulfur dioxide (SO 2) nonattainment area, located in Center Township in Morgan County and Waterford Township in Washington County, Ohio, to attainment for the 2010 SO 2National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS).
