WASHINGTON, June 18 -- Environmental Protection Agency has issued a proposed rule called: Air Plan Approval; Michigan; Second Period Regional Haze Plan.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on June 18 by Anne Vogel, Regional Administrator, Region 5.

Summary: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve the Regional Haze State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) on August 23, 2021, and supplemented on April 3, 2025, as satisfying applicable requirements under the Clean Air Act (CAA) and EPA's Regional Haze Rule (RHR) for the program's second implementation period.
