The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on July 31 by Joshua F.W. Cook, Regional Administrator, Region IX.

Summary: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a revision to the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) portion of the California State Implementation Plan (SIP) concerning a rule submitted to address section 185 of the Clean Air Act (CAA or "Act") with respect to the 1997 and 2008 8-hour ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS or "standard").
