WASHINGTON, June 18 -- Department of the Army, Corps of Engineers has issued a proposed rule called: Proposal To Reissue and Modify Nationwide Permits.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on June 18 by Jason E. Kelly, Major General, U.S. Army Deputy Commanding General for Civil and Emergency Operations.
Summary: Nationwide Permits (NWPs) are issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) to authorize categories of activities under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 that have no more than minimal individual and cumulative adverse environmental effects.
