DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: RESCINDING REPORTING REQUIREMENTS, CERTIFICATION, INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION, AND DOE REVIEW FOR VOLUNTARY GREENHOUSE GAS REPORTING

WASHINGTON, May 16 -- Department Of Energy has issued a proposed rule called: Rescinding Reporting Requirements, Certification, Independent Verification, and DOE Review for Voluntary Greenhouse Gas Reporting.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on May 16 by Treena V. Garrett, Federal Register Liaison Officer, U.S. Department of Energy.

Summary: The Department of Energy (DOE or the Department) is proposing to rescind reporting requirements, certification, independent verification, and DOE review for the Voluntary Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program. DOE seeks all comments on any aspects of this proposal.
