DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: PUBLIC HEARING; NEGOTIATED RULEMAKING COMMITTEES

WASHINGTON, July 25 -- Department Of Education has issued a proposed rule called: Public Hearing; Negotiated Rulemaking Committees.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on July 25 by James P. Bergeron, Acting Under Secretary.

Summary: We announce our intention to establish two negotiated rulemaking committees to prepare regulations for the Federal student financial assistance programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1965, as amended (Title IV, HEA programs).
