Today, U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) released the following statement after the U.S. Mint's announcement unveiling their proposed coin designs to celebrate America's 250th birthday. The Mint's newly proposed designs are a major deviation from the original proposals (https://www.coinworld.com/news/us-coins/ccac-reviews-multiple-options-for-2026-quarter-dollars), which were recommended after a public comment period and with input from the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee and Commission of Fine Arts in 2024.
