Today, U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) introduced the Change Corruption Act to prevent any living or sitting U.S. President from being featured on any U.S. currency. This legislation follows a letter (https://www.cortezmasto.senate.gov/news/press-releases/cortez-masto-merkley-lead-colleagues-in-urging-secretary-bessent-to-reject-proposed-dollar-coin-designs-featuring-donald-trump/) the Senators sent to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent calling on him to reject the proposed designs for the Semiquincentennial dollar coin featuring the likeness of President Trump.
