WASHINGTON, Feb. 12 -- Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a rule called: Safety Standard for Crib Mattresses.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on Feb. 12 by Alberta E. Mills, Secretary, Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Summary: In 2022, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published a consumer product safety standard for crib mattresses under section 104 of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA). The standard incorporated by reference ASTM F2933-21, Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Crib Mattresses, with modifications to make the standard more stringent.
