WASHINGTON, June 18 -- Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has issued a rule called: Small Business Lending Under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B); Extension of Compliance Dates.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on June 18 by Russell Vought, Acting Director, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Summary: In light of court orders in ongoing litigation, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB or Bureau) is amending Regulation B to extend the compliance dates set forth in its 2023 small business lending rule, as amended by a 2024 interim final rule, and to make other date-related conforming adjustments.
