WASHINGTON, May 16 -- Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has issued a rule called: Protections for Borrowers Affected by the COVID-19 Emergency Under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Regulation X; Rescission.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on May 16 by Russell Vought, Acting Director, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Summary: This interim final rule (IFR) rescinds the final rule "Protections for Borrowers Affected by the COVID-19 Emergency Under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Regulation X."
