The U.S. House of Representatives ended a short partial government shutdown on Tuesday, with passage of the Senate Amendment to H.R. 7148. The comprehensive package provides federal funding for Transportation, Housing and Urban Development; Defense; Labor, Health and Human Services; Financial Services; and National Defense and Department of State through the 2026 fiscal year. It also includes stopgap funding for two weeks to continue negotiations for the Department of Homeland Security. President Trump signed the full package into law on Tuesday afternoon.
