Today, U.S. Congressman Andy Barr (R-KY-06) announced that he has secured $1,000,000 in federal funding for the Kenway Extension for Community Safety and Mobility, a key infrastructure project led by the City of Berea.
Barr secured the funding through the Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development Appropriations Act, 2026. He voted for the appropriations package earlier this month, and President Trump recently signed the funding bill into law. This federal investment will support the construction of a new access road, multi-use trail, and parking lot serving Dixie Park, Roselawn, and other Sixth District communities.
