COAST GUARD ISSUES RULE: GULF OF AMERICA RENAMING

WASHINGTON, March 17 -- Coast Guard has issued a rule called: Gulf of America Renaming.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on March 17 by Michael T. Cunningham, Chief, Office of Regulations and Administrative Law.

Summary: In keeping with Presidential directive, the Coast Guard is amending its regulations to update the name of the "Gulf of Mexico" to the "Gulf of America."
