WASHINGTON, Aug. 4 -- Coast Guard has issued a proposed rule called: Anchorage Ground; Neches River, Port Arthur, TX.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 4 by David C. Barata, Rear Admiral, U.S. Coast Guard, Commander, U.S. Coast Guard Heartland (Eighth) District.

Summary: The Coast Guard is proposing to establish an anchorage ground on the Neches River near Port Arthur, TX. This action is necessary to accommodate increased vessel traffic volume, improve navigational safety for vessels transiting the Sabine-Neches Waterway and provide for the overall safe and efficient flow of vessel traffic and commerce.
