Brief Summary: Schizophrenia is a common, long-term mental illness. It causes problems with thoughts, feelings, and behavior, including positive symptoms (hallucinations, delusions), negative symptoms (lack of emotion, motivation), and cognitive impairment (trouble with thinking, memory, and attention).
