Brief Summary: In patients with advanced gastrointestinal cancers, malnutrition can lead to increased incidence of adverse events during the peri-chemoradiotherapy period, reduced treatment tolerance, lower completion rates of therapy, compromised efficacy and quality of life, and ultimately shortened survival.
