WASHINGTON, Dec. 23 -- Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has issued a proposed rule called: Guarding U.S. Medicare Against Rising Drug Costs (GUARD) Model.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Dec. 23 by Robert F. Kennedy, Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services.

Summary: This proposed rule would implement the Guarding U.S. Medicare Against Rising Drug Costs (GUARD) Model to test a new Medicare payment model under section 1115A of the Social Security Act.
