U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) urged the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) to provide the full one year of retroactive benefits to the over 40,000 Louisiana spouses unfairly penalized by the Windfall Elimination provision (WEP) and Government Pension Offset (GPO).
