Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Chairman of the Senate Environmental and Public Works (EPW) Committee and a leader on the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced a Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) award from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for wastewater system upgrades and the decommissioning of a wastewater treatment lagoon in the Village of Barboursville in Cabell County, W.Va.
This award, which was secured through a CDS request made by Chairman Capito in Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23), will be used to upgrade the existing wastewater system and also fund the decommissioning of a wastewater treatment lagoon.
