BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT ISSUES RULE: REVISION TO REGULATIONS REGARDING COMPETITIVE LEASES; EXPRESSION OF INTEREST PROCESS

WASHINGTON, Aug. 1 -- Bureau of Land Management has issued a rule called: Revision to Regulations Regarding Competitive Leases; Expression of Interest Process.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 1 by Adam G. Suess, Acting Assistant Secretary, Land Minerals Management.

Summary: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is amending its rules governing fees for expressions of interest (EOI) to effectuate changes required by the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" (OBBB) enacted on July 4, 2025.
