WASHINGTON, July 17 -- Bureau of Land Management has issued a rule called: Rescission of Regulations Regarding Annual Fees for Oil Shale Placer Mining Claims.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on July 17 by Adam G. Suess, Acting Assistant Secretary, Land Minerals Management.

Summary: This direct final rule rescinds the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) regulations that address the payment of annual maintenance fees for oil shale placer mining claims under the U.S. mining laws.
