Congressman Tom Barrett (MI-07) today voted for the SAVE America Act (S. 1383 (https://barrett.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/barrett.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/rcp_s1383_xml.pdf)), which would require individuals to show proof of citizenship when registering to vote and provide photo ID when casting a ballot. The bill passed the House of Representatives today with bipartisan support by a vote of 218 - 213.
