Today, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) released the following statement after five Senate Republicans joined all Democrats to advance a Baldwin-backed measure to prevent an all-out war in Venezuela and rein in President Trump's ability to conduct further military action in Venezuela without sign-off from Congress. This resolution comes after months of the Trump administration unilaterally carrying out illegal strikes in the Caribbean and Pacific, an unauthorized military attack on Venezuela, and the President openly speaking about sending U.S. troops to Venezuela to "run" the country.
