HAYWARD, Calif., March 20 -- The city of Hayward issued the following news release:

The City of Hayward is seeking students eager to represent the interests, needs and concerns of young people in Hayward and provide input to elected officials of the City of Hayward, the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District, and Hayward Unified School District.

If this sounds like something of interest to you, consider applying to join the Hayward Youth Commission. Youth Commissioner responsibilities include attending meetings, which are held at City Hall, Council Chambers, the second Monday of each month from September to June, except holidays, and working on special projects that address youth issues.
