Today, Senator Alsobrooks (D-Md.) voted to pass the bipartisan National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Following the vote, she released this statement:
"While this NDAA bill does not have everything I would have wanted, I am proud of the investment I helped secure for Maryland. The bill authorizes $226.6 million for military construction projects in Maryland - including $86 million for the Naval Academy. I worked alongside Senator Van Hollen to include a provision prohibiting the construction of a golf course at Greenbury Point - ensuring all Marylanders can continue to enjoy the Chesapeake Bay and our beautiful coastline.
