Today, Senator Alsobrooks (D-Md.), Senator Cramer (R-N.D.), Senator Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), and Senator Curtis (R-Utah) announced legislation reauthorizing the Wildlife Crossings Program (https://highways.dot.gov/federal-lands/wildlife-crossings/pilot-program/fy-2024-2025-selections#:~:text=FHWA%20received%2061%20applications%20from,more%20than%20four%20times%20the). This program at the Federal Highway Administration is a competitive grant program with the goal of reducing Wildlife Vehicle Collisions (WVCs) while improving habitat connectivity for terrestrial and aquatic species.
