U.S., Sept. 17 -- UNWTO did a surprising approach and is currently meeting with 170 delegates from 24 countries in Georgia to conduct the agency's 112th Executive Council meeting.

According to the latest data from the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) showing the severe impact of a reduction of 93% in international tourism arrivals around the world comparing 2020 and 2019 numbers.

According to the new issue of the World Tourism Barometer from the United Nations specialized agency, international tourist arrivals dropped by 65% during the first half of the year. This represents an unprecedented decrease, as countries around the world closed their borders and introduced travel restrictions in response to the pandemic.
