U.S., Sept. 7 -- Tourism is said to be picking up again in Karnataka. Karnataka is a state in southwest India with Arabian Sea coastlines. The capital, Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore), is a high-tech hub known for its shopping and nightlife. To the southwest, Mysore is home to lavish temples including Mysore Palace, the former seat of the region's maharajas. Hampi, once the medieval Vijayanagara empire's capital, contains ruins of Hindu temples, elephant stables, and a stone chariot.

Tourism is a big business in that Indian State. Coronavirus is also in full bloom with 399,000 cases, but 293,000 recoveries and 6,393 deaths remains a big concern
