Guwahati, Sept. 22 -- The cremation of iconic singer Zubeen Garg will take place tomorrow at a location in Sonapur with union Minister Kiren Rijiju, the Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya, and a delegation from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam expected to attend the ceremony.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Sarma said this to the media after visiting the place of cremation at Sonapur near Guwahati on Monday.
The chief minister said that they are making elaborate arrangements to clear the area for preparing the cremation ground, which will later be converted into a memorial in the name of the legendary singer.
Garg will be cremated with full state honours tomorrow. His mortal remains will be taken to Sonapur around morning.
