Guwahati, Sept. 20 -- The mortal remains of singer Zubeen Garg are expected to be brought to Assam by Sunday morning, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said today.

He said the post-mortem of Zubeen Garg has been completed in Singapore and efforts are on to bring the mortal remains to Guwahati.

He said the mortal remains will be taken to New Delhi today evening and by tomorrow morning they will be brought to Guwahati.

"First we will take the mortal remains to his home in Guwahati so that the family members can pay their tributes. These will be kept there for about one hour after which we will take the mortal remains to Sarusojai stadium," said the Assam Chief Minister.
