Aizawl, March 16 -- The Zo Reunification Organisation (ZORO) called for the creation of a separate administrative arrangement for ethnic Mizos living in the hill areas of conflict-hit Manipur.
The organisation, which advocates for the unification of ethnic Mizos across India, Myanmar, and Bangladesh, submitted a memorandum to the Union Home Minister, asserting that peaceful coexistence between the Meitei majority and ethnic Mizos has become impossible following the outbreak of ethnic violence on March 3, 2023. They argued that a separate administration is now the only feasible solution for 'Zofate' (ethnic Mizos) in Manipur.
