Aizawl, May 8 -- The Zo Reunification Organisation (ZORO) has taken the concerns of Zo ethnic communities to the international stage, telling a United Nations forum in New York that Zo people spread across Myanmar, Bangladesh and Manipur are facing persecution, displacement and growing threats to their identity and unity.
The issue was raised during the 25th Session of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII), where ZORO representative Lalnunfela Chawngthu addressed delegates on behalf of ZORO and the Zo Indigenous Forum (ZIF).
