Aizawl, Feb. 7 -- Former Mizoram Chief Minister and Mizo National Front (MNF) President Zoramthanga on Friday criticised Chief Minister Lalduhoma for allegedly requesting the Centre to recover a shortfall in the state's share of central taxes from the COVID-19 pandemic period.
Addressing MNF workers at the party office in Aizawl, Zoramthanga, who also handled the finance portfolio in the previous government, claimed that Lalduhoma had written to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, seeking repayment of Rs. 1,824.8 crore, which he said Mizoram did not receive during the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 financial years.
