Nashik, Sept. 27 -- Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration Minister Narhari Zirwal today emphasized the need to resume recruitment of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, as was done during the tenure of former Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, and assured he would follow up on this.

Zirwal was speaking at a tribal Mahapanchayat held at the Golf Club ground on behalf of the Sarpanch and PESA President of the PESA area of Maharashtra. Gulabrao Thackeray was the chairman.

Former MLA Sunil Bhusara, former Zilla Parishad President Jayashree Pawar, Nashik Market Committee Deputy Chairman Vinayak Malekar, MNS General Secretary Dinkar Patil, BSP leader Arun Kale, and other public representatives attended the meeting.
