Manali, June 16 -- A 10-year-old girl from Nagpur, Maharashtra, was injured in a zipline accident in Manali on June 8, raising serious questions about regulatory lapses by the local administration and the tourism department. A video of the incident has gone viral, showing the child falling nearly 30 feet to the ground while ziplining.
The girl, identified as Trisha, was holidaying in Manali with her parents, Praful and Mrs. Bijve. The fall occurred at an adventure site that, officials confirmed, did not have the necessary permission or registration from the tourism department.
According to norms, such adventure activities are permitted only after formal registration. However, the site where Trisha was ziplining was operating illegally.
