Chandrapur, Dec. 10 -- The Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) and Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to roll out the 'Zero Waste Tadoba' project in the sanctuary's buffer zone, located in Chandrapur district of eastern Maharashtra, according to a press statement.

Prabhu Nath Shukla, TATR's field director, described the initiative as an ambitious circular-economy model focused on enhancing scientific waste management, improving sanitation infrastructure and promoting community-driven conservation efforts in the buffer villages.

The MoU follows WCL's approval of a proposal submitted under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, the statement informed.
