Sirmaur, May 20 -- In a shocking revelation, not a single student passed the Class 10 board exams at Government Senior Secondary School Charna in Sirmaur district this year.
All 21 students failed, with the majority struggling in Mathematics and Science, highlighting the deep-rooted issue of chronic teacher shortage.
School Management Committee (SMC) President Bhupendra Singh Verma squarely blamed the state government for the dismal outcome, stating that five key posts-including TGT (Non-Medical), PTI, Computer Teacher, and Principal-have remained vacant since 2023. Despite repeated representations to the Education Minister, local MLA, and education department officials, no action was taken.
