Moscow, July 21 -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday that French defense companies would produce drones in Ukraine.

"We are ready to expand joint defense production. There is a decision by French companies to begin manufacturing drones in Ukraine - and this is highly valuable," Zelenskyy said on social media following a meeting with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot.

Zelenskyy said in June that Ukraine planned to make weapons in several European countries, which were later identified by Ukrainian media as Denmark, Norway, Germany, the United Kingdom and Lithuania.
