New Delhi, Aug. 16 -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed hope that India will
contribute to the efforts aimed at ending the war so that freedom and sovereignty of Ukrainians are
truly secure.
In a message to President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on India's 79th Independence Day he expressed confidence that the potential for mutually-beneficial India-Ukraine cooperation in science, technology, trade and culture lies ahead.
Referring to his telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Modi before the Alaska Summit President Zelenskyy said they had a ''good, candid conversation'' when he had the opportunity to personally convey his best wishes on the occasion.
