Washington, Feb. 28 -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the White House on Friday to meet with US President Donald Trump and sign the rare earth minerals deal, according to a TV broadcast.
Zelenskyy arrived at the White House from a nearby hotel at approximately 11:20 a.m. local time (16:20 GMT) and was greeted by Trump at the West Wing entrance. As Trump shook hands with Zelenskyy, he noted that the Ukrainian leader was "all dressed up."
The main topic of the bilateral meeting will be signing an agreement on rare earth minerals, which Trump insisted on.
