Srinagar, July 25 -- In a step towards empowering the youth and women of North Kashmir, the revamped Chinar Yuva Centre in Dangiwacha, featuring a state-of-the-art computer training lab and two entrepreneurial units for manufacturing soap, lip balm, and dry apples, was inaugurated today.
The event was organised by the Indian Army in collaboration with the Civil Administration, NAAM Foundation, and ASEEM Foundation, aiming to foster skill development, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance among the local population.
A Srinagar based defence spokesman said the Yuva Centre established by Indian Army in 2009, has been a beacon of hope in North Kashmir, providing vocational and skill-based training to over 1200 youth, including 1025 women.
