Kadapa, Aug. 6 -- Amid escalating violence in former Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's Pulivendula constituency, ahead of the ZPTC by-election, YSR Congress Party leaders met with district Superintendent of Police on Wednesday, demanding urgent intervention to safeguard democracy.

YSRCP district president Ravindranath Reddy and state general secretary Satish Reddy submitted a memorandum urging strict action against those involved in violent attacks on their party workers and sympathisers.
