Chennai, Dec. 13 -- Amid high drama and after an hour long stand-off,the city police broke open the doors and arrested popular and controversialYouTuber Savukku Shankar on extortion charges.
Shankar, who was stayed in the 18th floor of a high rise apartment at thewestern suburub of Adambakkam, locked himself in the house when a teamof police personnel went to arrest him on a complaint from a film producerlevelling extortion charges against him.
Shankar refused to open the doors and insisted the police team shouldspeak to his advocates.
However, he did not relent despite police promising to inform him thegrounds for arrest and share the copies of arrest warrant to hisadvocates and asked him to allow the police to discharge their duties.
