New Delhi, Sept. 30 -- Google-owned YouTube has agreed to pay USD 24.5 million to settle a lawsuit brought by US President Donald Trump against YouTube for the suspension of his account.

Trump's account was suspended in relation to the January 6 riots in 2021.

On Jan 6, 2021 the United States Capitol in Washington D.C. was attacked by a mob of supporters of President Donald Trump in an attempted self-coup, two months after his defeat in the 2020 Presidential election.
