Kolkata, Sept. 22 -- The body of a bullet-riddled youth was found near the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in the port area of Garden Reach in south Kolkata this morning, official sources said today.
They said after hearing a shot around 9:30 am, local people came out of their homes and found the youth lying in a pool of blood with bullet wounds on the head.
A revolver and a bag were found near the body when police from West Port station arrived at the scene of crime.
Police began an investigation to ascertain the identity of the deceased and the motive for the murder. Initial probe revealed that the youth was shot by unknown persons from close range, and that they left the murder weapon near the body to misguide the investig...
