Palamu, Nov. 1 -- Panic gripped the Haidernagar area of Palamu district this morning after two bike-borne assailants shot a young man near Haidernagar High School ground.
The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Neeraj Chandravanshi alias Mantu, who sustained a bullet injury to his chest. According to eyewitnesses, the attackers fired at close range before fleeing towards the southern direction.
Local residents rushed Neeraj to a nearby health centre, from where he was referred to Medininagar Hospital in critical condition.
